| ISLAND VIEW PARK This neighborhood park offers a playground, public basketball court, picnicking and an enhanced view of the North Channel of the Kankakee River LOCATION: Corner of Wilbur and Chatfield Street |

| WALNUT STREET PARK The centerpiece of this historic public park is the metal Walnut Street Wagon. The park offers a large playground facility and covered picnic pavilion. A very popular park, Walnut Street is the perfect site for outdoor parties and family events. LOCATION - Corner of Walnut Street and Second Street |
| The five facilities maintained by the Momence Park District are all available for group rentals. Groups of 15 or more are required to reserve a rental space and acquire a permit. | CONGRATULATIONS TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE MOMENCE PARK DISTRICT! A 2009 OSLAD (Open Space Land Acquisition and Development) Grant through the IDNR awarded to the Momence Park District on May 6, 2009 has allowed the Park District to pursue the new ADA compliant Interpretive Trail and Rail & Reel Fishing/Train Watching Pavilion on the southwest bank of the Kankakee River. The new facilities provides residents and visitors additional outdoor activities courtesy of the Momence Park District. VISIT ISLAND PARK AND SHARE IN THE EXCITEMENT OF OUR MAJOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. |

| ...and so it began... |
ADAA Guidelines have been followed to allow fishermen and train watchers safety and accessibility regardless of physical limitations. The Pavilion will offer excellent views of the River and the Union Pacific Railroad Trestle. The project is jointly funded by an IDNR OSLAD Grant, The Union Pacific Railroad and the Momence Park District. |

| After two years of planning and resource funding challenges, construction on the long awaited Rail & Reel Scenic Pavilion began on September 16, 2009. |
| The hexagon shaped, covered pavilion will provide excellent shoreline access via an elevated handicap accessible path scheduled to connect with a paved ADA trail. Interpretive signage is included in the overall project scheduled for completion in 2010. |
